Pepper Steak
Ingredients
- 2 lbs. Round steak
- 1 Garlic bud – crushed
- ½ tsp. Salt
- 1/8 tsp. Pepper
- 1 tsp. Sugar
- ¼ tsp. Ginger
- 1 can Bean sprouts – drained
- 2 Green peppers – sliced
- 1 med Onion
- 4 med Tomatoes – quartered
- 1 Tbsp. Corn starch
- ½ cup Water
- ¼ cup Soy sauce
Directions
Cut steak into ½ x 2½ in. pieces and brown in skillet. Add garlic, salt, pepper and ginger. Cover and simmer 20 min. Move meat to the side and add soy sauce, peppers, sprouts and onions. Cook covered 5 - 10 min. add tomatoes and cook 5 min. longer. Make paste from corn starch / water mixture, add to mix and cook gently until thick. Serve with rice or noodles, salad & garlic bread.
