Hot Beef

Ingredients

  • 5 lb. Beef - spencer roll/rump ??
  • 3 large Onions – sliced
  • 1 Tbsp. Molasses
  • ¼ cup Soy sauce
  • 2 cups Hot water
  • 2 Bay leaves
  • ¾ tsp. Salt
  • ½ tsp. Pepper
  • 3 Tbsp. Cornstarch

Directions

Combine ingredients except meat and cornstarch and pour over meat. Add more water to cover. Bake @ 325 deg 7 hrs for spencer or 3-4 hrs for rump. Cool in juice. Remove meat and slice. Discard bay leaves. Thicken juice with cornstarch, add beef and reheat.
