Salisbury Steak

 

Ingredients

  • 1 lb. Ground beef
  • 1 cup Soft bread crumbs
  • 2 Eggs- beaten
  • ½ cup Cream
  • ¼ cup Sherry
  • ½ cup Onion- fine chopped
  • ¼ cup Chopped parsley
  • 1 tsp. Salt
  • ¼ tsp. Pepper
  • 2 Tbsp. Bacon fat or oil
  • 2 cans Beef gravy
  • ½ lb. Fresh mushrooms

Directions

Combine meat, crumbs, cream, sherry, onion, parsley and seasonings. Shape into 6 patties (very soft) and brown in drippings. Pour off fat and add gravy. Cover and simmer 45 min. Add mushrooms and serve.

Good with mashed potatoes as there is lots of gravy.
