Kit Kat Bars

 

Ingredients

  • 2 cups Graham cracker crumbs
  • ½ cup White sugar
  • ½ cup Brown sugar
  • ½ cup Milk
  • ½ cup Chocolate chips
  • 2/3 cup Peanut butter
  • ½ + cup Oleo
  • 25 Club crackers
  • ½ cup Butterscotch chips

Directions

Mix crumbs, oleo, sugars and milk in saucepan. Bring to boil and boil 5 minutes stirring constantly. Put 1 layer of club crackers in 9 x 13 pan, pour ½ of boiled mixture on top of crackers. Put a second layer on top and pour remaining mixture over them. Add one more layer of crackers. Melt together chips and peanut butter and spread over top. Chill and cut into bars.

Bob is a help in making theses bars as he holds the crackers in place while I spread the “sticky” sugar mixture. Don’t make in hot weather, because, as Mr Behl would say they get very “shmeary”.
