Gooey Butter Bars
Ingredients
- 16 oz. Pound cake mix
- ½ cup Butter/oleo
- 4 large Eggs – divided
- ½ tsp. Vanilla
- 8 oz. Cream cheese
- 1 lb. powdered sugar - div.
- 1 cup Chopped pecans
Directions
Mix softened butter, 2 eggs and cake mix together and beat 1 minute. Spread over bottom of greased 9 x 13 pan. In another bowl, beat cream cheese until fluffy ( 3 - 4 min.). Beat in remaining eggs, 1 at a time. Add vanilla and all but ½ cup of the powdered sugar. Beat until blended (1 min.). Pour batter evenly over crust and sprinkle with nuts and remaining sugar. Bake at 350 deg for 35 - 45 min. or until cake pulls away evenly from pan sides.
