Norwegian Flat Bread

Ingredients
- 1½ cup Quick oatmeal
- 1½ cup Flour
- 1/3 cup Sugar
- ½ tsp. Baking soda
- ¾ tsp. Salt
- 1 cup Buttermilk
- ½ cup Shortening
Directions
Melt Shortening, add to buttermilk and sugar and mix well. Add oatmeal and beat. Add flour, salt and soda and mix well. Take about 1 tablespoon dough and roll out. Put on cookie sheet and bake @ 370 degrees until light brown in color. Roll dough thin.
I remember my Aunt making this when we visited ND and I thought it was delicious. Have not made it in many years.
